Here's my list for February. All the birds I've seen from my kitchen window. They've kept me company while washing the dishes, cooking dinner, and talking with friends over a cup of coffee. My grandfather taught me to appreciate the birds the summer I moved in with him. It was just the two of us. He was 93 and I was 23. At first it was something I would do just to spend time with him, but then I fell in love with all the colors and sounds I would see perched at the feeder day after day.
